Founded on March 17, 1917, at the New York University School of Law, Delta Phi Epsilon is an international sorority committed to fostering justice, sisterhood, and love. As one of the first non-sectarian social sororities, it was established to be inclusive of all races and religions. With over 67,000 initiated members across more than 100 active chapters in the United States and Canada, Delta Phi Epsilon provides a supportive environment that encourages personal development, academic excellence, and social responsibility. The sorority’s motto, “Esse Quam Videri” (“To be rather than to seem to be”), reflects its dedication to authenticity and integrity.

The Gamma Omega chapter of Delta Phi Epsilon was established at the University of North Georgia (UNG) on April 11, 2015. In alignment with the sorority’s philanthropic focus, the chapter supports the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders (ANAD). Through active participation in campus events, community service, and leadership development, Gamma Omega members cultivate a strong sisterhood that fosters personal growth and academic success, making a positive impact within the UNG community and beyond.
