Founded on October 23, 1897, at the State Female Normal School in Farmville, Virginia, Kappa Delta is a national women’s sorority committed to building confidence and inspiring action. With over 300,000 initiated members across 168 active collegiate chapters and more than 200 alumnae chapters nationwide, Kappa Delta offers a supportive sisterhood dedicated to personal growth, leadership, and community service. Our core values—friendship and loyalty, personal integrity, lifelong learning, and selfless service—guide our mission to encourage members to live with honor in the bonds of lifelong friendship.
The Epsilon Gamma chapter of Kappa Delta was established at the University of North Georgia on February 17, 1973. The chapter is dedicated to promoting true friendship among college women by instilling principles of truth, honor, and duty. In alignment with Kappa Delta’s national philanthropic efforts, Epsilon Gamma supports Prevent Child Abuse America and the local South Enotah Child Advocacy Center. Through active participation in campus events, community service, and leadership development, Epsilon Gamma members strive to make a positive impact within the UNG community and beyond.
