Founded on October 24, 1902, at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, Delta Zeta is an international women’s sorority committed to fostering lifelong friendships, academic excellence, and a dedication to service. Delta Zeta, a sorority with over 285,000 members across 163 collegiate chapters in the United States and Canada, and more than 180 alumnae chapters worldwide, fosters a supportive community that empowers women to lead and make a meaningful difference. Our mission is to provide a values-based membership experience, inspiring action and impacting lives globally through philanthropy, scholarship, and service.

Embracing our shared values of friendship, community, generosity, curiosity, empowerment, and belonging, we strive to create a sisterhood that uplifts and supports each member throughout her lifetime.

Established on April 29, 1989, the Xi Xi chapter of Delta Zeta at the University of North Georgia exemplifies the sorority’s core values. Dedicated to philanthropy, the chapter supports the Starkey Hearing Foundation, aligning with Delta Zeta’s national commitment to hearing and speech causes. Through active participation in campus events and community service, Xi Xi members cultivate a supportive sisterhood that fosters personal growth and leadership development, making a positive impact both within the UNG community and beyond.
